Amelia de Rudder is a Parisian born, Chicago-based, multimedia artist. She received a BFA from SAIC in 2002. She has shown work in Tokyo, Paris, Berlin, Chicago, Buenos Aires, Mexico City, NYC, Baltimore, and New England. Her work has been featured at numerous reputable venues, galleries, and art centers as well as on her own in pop-up style showings. She megalomaniac-ally runs an annual performance art extravaganza, La Casa de Satanas in Pilsen, Chicago and creates hundreds of art masks yearly for New Orleans Mardi Gras Krewe Balls. She was one of the founders of the underground art movement "Art Sluts" which has since dissolved due to gentrification. She has been painting and sculpting since childhood and continues to make provoking, beautiful work. Some call her (work) Dada, some call her mamacita.
